Martha M. Grierson, July 1923 - December 2013, was born in East Bernard, Texas to the late Angelina and L.J. Marik. Raymond E. Grierson, December 1925 - January 2014, was born in Moss Point, Mississippi to the late Raymond and Jennie V. Grierson. Both Martha and Ray attended the University of Texas, Austin where they met after the war. They were married for nearly 65 years, renewing their wedding vows on both the 50th and 60th anniversaries. As proud veterans of WWII, they displayed the loyalty, strength, and determination of that great generation. Throughout their lives, even in times of great challenge, particularly in later years, they gave true meaning to the word courage. They will be remembered for their remarkable life stories and ever loved and honored for their unique and always optimistic way of looking at life. Ray and Martha, beloved parents of Deborah and Genevieve Ginger, grandparents of Carrie, Sarah, Keely, and Abbey, great-grandparents of Emma, Ben, Noah, Regan, and Isla. Also much loved sister, brother, aunt, uncle, and cousin, you will both be dearly missed. A private mass will be held for the family at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament.
