1928 - 2016 Mary Faye Mauer passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016. She was born in Cuero on November 22, 1928 to the late Elmer Stewart and Marnie Baker Stewart. Mary Faye was a bookkeeper for a Chevy Dealership in Beaumont. She enjoyed antiquing, collecting music boxes, dancing, reading and writing. She attended Grace Community Church The Church of New Beginnings. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Charles Mauer, Jr. of Port Lavaca; sister, Patsy Bush of Devine; grandson, Eric Mauer and wife Ronda of Mont Belvieu; granddaughter Heather Davis and husband Scott of Mont Belvieu; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Chase Davis, Brooke and Brent Mauer, daughter-in-law, Sue Mauer of Virginia; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. A very special thanks to Judy Sayle of Devers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Chuck Mauer, III; sisters, Floy Mauer, Deline Hollub and Beatrice Drumgoole. Visitation will be 11-12 P.M. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Grace Community Church and Funeral Services at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Billy Faltesek officiating. Interment will follow at Six Mile Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gerald Jerry Mauer, Sr., Steve Mauer, Gilbert Butch Mauer, Sonny Hollub, Blaine Hollub and Case Hollub.
