Funeral services for Mary Helen Walters Graves, 92, of Jasper, will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in Jasper City Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2013, at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper. Mary Helen died April 10, 2013, at Pelican Bay Assisted Living in Beaumont. A native & lifelong resident of Jasper, she was a U.T. graduate, and retired from Sam Rayburn Power House Corp of Engineers, after 25 years. She was a member of Rose Society, Pine Needle Quilters, Women's Civic Club, Jasper City Cemetery Board, First United Methodist Church, Choir, Seeker's Sunday School Class. Survivors include her daughter, Marian Pekar & husband, Jerry of Beaumont; one son, Breck Graves & wife, Pat of DeRidder, LA; four grandchildren, Michelle & Jerry Johnson, Kristi & Eric Krauss, Pam & Shawn Beadle, and Steve & Cindy Graves; nine great grandchildren, Kayla Johnson, Hunter Krauss, Logan Krauss, Taylor Beadle, Kaylin Beadle, Camille Beadle, Ashlyn Graves, Rebekah Graves, Samuel Graves; sister-in-law, Ruth Walters; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, James & Jean Graves. Preceded in death by parents, Thomas & Ethie Walters; husband of 43 years, Claude Graves, Jr; infant son, Thomas Graves; great granddaughter, Hannah Beadle; brother, James Walters; and sister, Annie Laurie Branson.
