1928 - 2016 A celebration of Mary Ratcliff's life, age 88, will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2016 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Japer, with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, October 28, from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home A lifelong Jasper resident, Mary was a homemaker for many years. She had worked for 12 years previously as a cashier with Weingarten's and Due Minimax Grocery Stores in Jasper. Known for her kindness and compassion, her family was her life. Mary is survived by her son, Charles Edward Ratcliff & wife Susan of Magnolia Springs; daughter, Linda Ratcliff Ryall & husband Richard of Jasper; brother, Gene Gray & wife Mary of Jasper; her grandchildren, Amy Hollis Faircloth & husband Carlton, Mike Hollis, Will Ratcliff & wife Ranae, and Anna Ratcliff; as well as 8 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of other family and friends Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Charles Buck Ratcliff; sister, Betty Ruth Harris; and brother, Lloyd Gray. The family would like to thank Rayburn Healthcare & Affinity Hospice for giving such good healthcare and comfort. The friends she made at Rayburn Healthcare are numerous & will never be forgotten. Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper.
