A memorial service for Neil Cunningham Kerr, Jr., 61, of Tyler, will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Kerr officiating. Mr. Kerr passed away March 28, 2012. He was born in Beaumont on October 24, 1950, to the late Neil Cunningham, Sr and Billie Harvey Kerr. Buddy graduated from high school in Beaumont, and he received his nursing degree from the University of Texas, Houston. He later received his CRNA certification, while serving in the Army. He worked as a CRNA for 27 years, serving Mother Frances Hospital 18 years. Buddy cherished his music, enjoyed smoking cigars, and he loved riding his Harley with the wind in his face. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carey Kerr. Neil is survived by his wife of 34 years, Susan Kerr; children, Joshua of Los Angeles, Matthew of Chicago, IL, and Lindsay of Tyler; and by his step-father, Don Black.
