Norman Alfred Rucker was born in Silsbee, Texas on September 19, 1941 He passed from this life on December 13, 2013. A native of Silsbee, he also lived in Orange for 20 years before returning to Silsbee in 2001. Preceded in death by his adoring parents Buster and Nonnie Rucker also from Silsbee. Survived by his wife and soul mate Sandra Louviere Rucker, children Lisa Thibodeaux and husband Jeff, Paula Fredrick, Janet Driggers and husband Russ. Grandchildren Lauren and Dayna Thibodeaux, Garett Thibodeaux and wife Rebecca, Emma Driggers, Leo Michael Driggers, Great Grandsons Maeson Ryan Thibodeaux and Weston Lane Thibodeaux. A host of family members, friends and Big Bird. Norman graduated from Silsbee High School and attended Sam Houston State University. He retired from DuPont Beaumont Works and then went on to teach Fire Technology at Lamar University. Continuing in a life long tradition of giving and public service Norman willed himself to UTMB for further study and benefit for all. The family has already received confirmation that two patients have been given the gift of sight thanks to Normans unselfish giving. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the
