Norman Maxwell Jim Hockenbury, Jr., 70, of Mount Union died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at Jasper Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 12, 1942 in York, Pennsylvania. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Magnolia Springs Cemetery under the direction of Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville. Jim was a Viet Nam Veteran and was retired from Santa Fe Railroad. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Maude Hockenbury, and one brother, Richard Hockenbury. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Hockenbury of Mount Union; sons, Joey Richardson and wife Barbara of Mount Union; Claude Richardson of Mount Union; Tommy Richardson and wife Patricia of Nederland; and Russell Elder and wife Jimmy of Magnolia Springs; brothers, Robert Hockenbury and wife Cindy of Boynton Beach, FL; Thomas Hockenbury and wife LEtty of Woodland Hills, CA; and Danny Elder and wife Linda of Mount Union; sister-in-law, Emma Rolak and husband Arnold; grandchildren, Jeff Richardson and wife Rebecca, Robert Richardson, Melissa Zeller and husband Steven, Ashley Ferguson and husband Derrell, Amber Simmons and husband Justin, Justin Richardson and wife Tirzah, Allison Harris and husband Travis, Caroline Richardson, Elizabeth Richardson, Dustin Elder, and Bailey Elder; and 9 great grandchildren. His extended family, Gene and Michelle Elder of Magnolia Springs, Brady Elder, Hunter Elder, Blake Manuel and a host of nieces and nephews.
