Ouida Mae Flanakin, 87, longtime resident of Silsbee, Texas was called home by our Lord on February 6, 2014 after a short illness. She had been a resident at The Lodge at Rocky Hollow in Georgetown, Texas for the last 2 years. Her granddaughter, Hope Paffe, owns and manages the facility. Mae was preceded in death by her parents H.N. (Shorty) and Gladys Lee and her husband George Ennis Flanakin. Survivors include one sister, Jo Allen of Silsbee, Texas; three children: Jerry Dale Jones of Bridge City, Texas, Jo Owens of Round Rock, Texas and Le Ann Arinder of Silsbee, Texas; 3 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great-great-Grandchildren and grand-puppies and kitties. Mae was also blessed with a special fur companion Lucy that never left her side. Mae was a retired nurse and continued to help and care for others throughout her retirement years. She will leave behind many friends and family that loved her very much. A celebration of life visitation will be on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, 4:00 P.M - 6:00 P.M at Ramsey Funeral Home, 5600 Williams Dr., Georgetown, Texas, 78633.
