1921 - 2015 Paul Ozanus died January 15, 2015, after a short illness. He was born September 6, 1921 in Calumet City, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Peter Ozanus and Elizabeth Shephard Ozanus, Lithuanian immigrants; his brother, Tony Ozanus; and his sister, Alice Ozanus Zorka. Paul met Olive B. Greer when he was downtown in Hammond, Indiana. Their first date was sky high in his private plane the next day. It was love at first sight, as he told it. Their love grew stronger and stronger over the 57 years of marriage. Paul attended Thornton Fractional High School and Purdue University. He retired after 41 years of employment with Mobil Oil Corporation in East Chicago, Indiana and Beaumont, Texas. After retirement he and Olive traveled for two years. They then settled in Georgetown, Texas where he could play golf year round. Along the way, he developed many long lasting friendships. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Paul is survived by his wife, Olive Greer Ozanus, his children; Paulette Ozanus Klein, Paul Scott Ozanus and Debbie Ozanus and William Paul Ozanus; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Paul was an avid golfer and loved to play golf with his friends at Berry Creek Country Club and his family. He also enjoyed coaching his sons' baseball teams where he won the City League Championship. Throughout his life he was a passionate and caring dog owner and loved to go on long walks with his four legged friends. He was devoted to his church and his family and loved by all and will be greatly missed. A private service will be held for the immediate family, Sunday, January 18, 2015. On Saturday, January 31st, a celebration of Paul's life will be held at Barry Creek Country Club at 1:00, 30500 Berry Creek Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Georgetown Animal Shelter 110 W L Walden, Georgetown, Texas 78626 or First Presbyterian Church Education Fund, 703 S.
