Percy G. Taylor, 88, of Nederland, died Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Mid Jefferson Extended Care Hospital in Nederland. Born June 10, 1925, in Garrison, Texas, he was the son of Willie Garrison Taylor and John Earl Taylor. Percy was a United States Army veteran. He began working with Pure Oil in 1953 and retired from Union Oil in 1984 having been employed as a pipefitter. He is survived by his wife, Vaudine Taylor of Nederland; son, Dale Taylor and his wife, Jackie, of Nederland; daughter, Betsy Taylor Evans and her husband, Jimmy, of Vicksburg, Mississippi; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jean Reierson. Funeral services for Mr. Taylor will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2013, at Broussard's Chapel, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland followed by burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
