Rebecca Ann Plyler Becky Bisbey A memorial service for Rebecca Ann Plyler Becky Bisbey, age 59, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church of Jasper. A reception will follow at the church. Becky Bisbey died Friday, January 17, 2014 at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas. Becky was born April 4, 1954 in McAllen, Texas, the daughter of the late Dr. Charles G. Plyler and Charlotte Gibbs Plyler. She married Blair Allan Bisbey in 1979 and resided in Jasper, Texas from that year until her death. Becky graduated with a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and worked as an educator in the Jasper public school system in the early 1980s and again in the early 2000s. She participated actively in numerous social and charitable organizations in Jasper, Texas. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and a positive influence on all whose lives she touched. She dearly loved her family and many friends. Becky is survived by her husband of thirty-four years, Blair A. Bisbey; her children: son, Brandon Bisbey and wife, Catalina Rincon of Chicago; son, Blake Bisbey and wife, Cameron Marietta Bisbey of Keller, Texas; son, Russell Bisbey and fiancée, Amanda Pearson of Austin, Texas; beloved grandchildren, Noah Smith and Madison Bisbey of Keller, Texas; and mother, Charlotte Waitz of Mission, Texas. Becky was preceded in death by her father, Dr. C.G. Plyler and brother, Randy Plyler. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 329 North Bowie, Jasper, Texas 75951. Services under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper.
