1938 - 2015 Ingram- Robert Dale Daigle, 76, passed away at his home in Ingram, Texas on Sunday July 19, 2015. Dale was born on August 5, 1938 in Welsh, Louisiana to Dorrise Daigle and Isabelle Marie Benoit Daigle. His family moved to China, Texas in 1940 and later settled in Beaumont. Dale attended St. Anne's Elementary School, South Park Schools and St. Anthony's High School. He served in the Air force from 1956 to 1960. He was a police officer with Beaumont Police Department for five years and later worked as a welder and a crane operator. He traveled all the United States and internationally, working in construction and in the oil and gas industry. Dale was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Kathryn Sherman; his son, Robert Daigle and his brother, Wayne Daigle. He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Perry of Orange; granddaughter, Lauren Daigle of Orange; brothers, John Daigle of The Woodlands and Thomas Daigle of Nome; sisters, Irene Fuller of Lumberton, Deborah Turkleson of Houston, Christine Leigh of Beaumont, and Margaret Leger of China . He was especially fond of his many nieces and nephews and loved being known as Uncle Dale. A memorial service will be held privately by his family. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Rifle Association or the Ingram Volunteer Fire Department.
