1938 - 2015 Warren, Texas resident, Roger Patrick Bligh, left his mortal body and ascended to heaven on December 21, 2015. The son of Michael and Brigid Bligh, Roger was born on October 25, 1938 in New York, New York. He is the youngest of three siblings. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York Maritime College and a Masters of Business Administration from Drexel University, Roger embarked on his lifelong career as a Maritime Engineer. In 1976, he relocated his family to Beaumont, Texas and eventually settled in Warren. After retiring, Roger enjoyed missionary work and began a quiet but impactful ministry of teaching bible study and visiting the sick and elderly. Roger kept Jesus Christ first in his life. For some time, he has anonymously sponsored a billboard that can be seen on Highway 69 in Kountze, Texas while traveling southbound toward Beaumont. It contains a powerful message that he wanted to share with everyone: Jesus! The Way, Truth, and the Life! He is dearly loved and revered by his three sons, Roger, Neil, and Craig, six grandchildren, Hannah, Abel, Zane, Sierra, Brendan, and Krista, daughter's in law Donna and Tracy, and a host of friends. His loving presence will be deeply missed. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Warren with burial in Allison Cemetery in Warren.
