1935 - 2015 Roy Edward Choate, Sr., 80, of Kountze, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015. Roy Paw Paw Pig Choate, was a person that will not soon be forgotten by anyone who had met him. Roy will be remembered for his gentle and humorous nature, selfless giving which brought a smile to his friends, family and even strangers. His love for life was shown by his ability to bring laughter to a crowded room with his never-ending jokes and joyful spirit. He enjoyed life to the fullest, especially around his children and grandchildren who were the loves of his life. His favorite pastimes were drawing cartoons of events involving family and friends. Roy's passions were fishing, hunting, the Houston Astros baseball and the Dallas Cowboys. He had become fluent in modern technology, especially texting with all caps!! The grandchildren would ask why Pawpaw was always yelling in his texts. He loved his Lord and Savior and found peace in the knowledge that God was ready to bring him home. He will be greatly missed and will always be remembered as our sweet, sweet Daddy, and Pawpaw Pig. Rest well, Daddy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ora Choate.
