1941 - 2015 Roy Irvin Mott, 74, lifetime resident of East Texas, passed away, Monday, May 25, 2015 at Tyler County Hospital in Woodville, Texas. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger. Officiating will be Reverend Kenny Rawls and Reverend Robert McClelland. Irvin was born March 22, 1941 to George Kozum & Laura Francis Jordan Mott in Spurger, Texas. He was serving as minister at Big Sandy Baptist Church in Dallardsville, Texas. Irvin was a longtime barber in Tyler County before retiring from Central Freight Lines after 28 years of service and Texas Department of Criminal Justice after 11 years of service. He was a member of Woodville Masonic Lodge #495 and Spurger Chapter #315 Order of Eastern Star. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Kozum & Laura Francis Jordan Mott. Irvin is survived by his wife of 27 years, Judy Mott of Woodville; sons, Billy Roy Mott of Spurger, Gary McCoy & wife, Melissa of Woodville, Steven McCoy & wife, Amy of Woodville; daughters, Debra Ann Grant & husband, John of Spurger, Susan Carnley & husband, Steve of Warren; brothers, Kozum Earl Mott & wife, Lynda, Marvin Mott, & Jimmie Mott & wife, Linda, all of Spurger; sisters, Ruth Powell of Woodville, Dottie Reider of Woodville & Muriel Wilson of Vidor & Alvina Means & husband, John of Spurger; grandchildren, Brittany Crager, Miranda Hawkins, Chris McCoy, Kevin McCoy, Logan McCoy, Jacob McCoy, Jessica McCoy, Tyler McCoy, & Scott Carnley; great grandchildren, Arabella Clark, Zakk McCoy, Nataleigh McCoy, Grady McCoy, Seth Jean & Kolton McCoy.
