Rusty Wilson, 66, of Lumberton, died Friday, May 31, 2013, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on January 31, 1947, in Beaumont, to Bertie Lee Wells Wilson and Joseph Jefferson Wilson, Sr. Rusty was a United States Marine veteran having served in Vietnam and was an industrial salesman. Rusty was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports. He was always there to help a friend in need and loved a good joke. He was devoted to his children, grandchildren, and loved his family and friends. Survivors include his mother, Bertie Lee Wilson of Lumberton; children, Jason Wilson and his wife, Shannon, of Fannett; Whitney Hughes and her husband, Kraig, of Austin; and Jeff Wilson of Beaumont; seven grandchildren; brothers, Ricky Wilson of Manvel, Andy Wilson of Silsbee, and Larry Wilson of Florida; and sister, Linda Tatum of Sour Lake. He is preceded in death by his father; and one brother. A private family committal for Mr. Wilson will be held at Broussard's Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
