Sallie Janice Daniels, 78, of Lone Oak, TX., went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August, 15, 2012. She was born in Spurger, TX., February 19, 1934, to Laurie and Annie Hicks. Known lovingly as Granny to her grandchildren, Janice loved spending time with her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed scouring flea markets in search of antique cookbooks to add to her collection. She retired in 1992 from the U.S. Postal Service, after 25 years of service, & was a member of the Spurger United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Glynell Redmon and Lyda Lee Hollis; Janice is survived by her husband of 60 years, G. W. Dub Daniels; daughter, Debi Daniels; son, Danny Daniels (Linda); sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Robert Mott; four grandchildren, John Kevin Daniels, Angela Daniels Nickle, Janna Harvill Frazier, and Jessica Singeltary Cofield; six great grandchildren, Christian Daniels, Kacy Nickle, Gavin Daniels, Greyson Daniels, Whitlee Singeltary, and Lexee Cofield; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. An angel walking on earth has gone home. A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life, Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Spurger, TX., at 1:00 p.m.
