Sandra Kay Marino, 51, of Lumberton, died peacefully in her home, on Monday, July 30, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 24, 1961, in Houston, to Jackie and Rufus Martin, and had been a resident of Beaumont most of her life, before moving to Lumberton fifteen years ago. As a faithful member of Woodcrest United Methodist Church in Lumberton, her strong devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ was surely an example for all of us to treasure in our hearts. Sandra worked as a skilled printing press operator for over thirty-five years. Sandra was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She was a wonderful artist, and her soft, gentle hand produced numerous beautiful creations. Sandra loved the outdoors, traveling, and her pets, but the true love of her life was certainly her family. She was dedicated to taking care of her two daughters, Sarah and Mollie. Survivors include her daughters, Mollie Marino and Sarah Davis and her husband, Grant, all of Lumberton; mother, Jackie Martin of Beaumont; father, Rufus Martin and his wife, Nita, of Beaumont; sisters, Lynda Moncla and her husband, Kenny; Barbara Raymond and her husband, Jim; and Janice Grossheim and her husband, Robbie, all of Beaumont; brother, David Martin and his wife, Patrizia, of Alamogordo, New Mexico; mother-in-law, Alma Marino of Clute; sisters- in-law, Marsha Mitchell of Clute and Pam Cheval of Angleton; five nephews; and one niece. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Marino, Jr. A gathering of Sandra's family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2012, at Woodcrest United Methodist Church, 1684 Highway 96 South, Lumberton, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
