Scott Ford, 54, of Pinewood, died Friday, April 27, 2012. He grew up in Beaumont on the corner of Calder and Pinchback, in a two story white house on three acres. Scott was one of seven children born to Watt and Patricia Ford. He cared mostly for his family and loved God. Scott was hard working and spent twenty-five years at Beaumont Rice Mills and Jefferson County DD6 for two years. He had many friends, who enjoyed just being around him. Scott loved people and would do anything he could to help them. He was selfless. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Ford; parents, Patricia and G.W. Watt Ford, Jr.; brother, G.W. Watt Ford, III and his wife, Jennifer, all of Beaumont; sisters, Catherine Sonnenberg and her husband, John of Austin, Ann Shorts and her husband, Will of Fannett, Patricia Nance and her husband, Bobby of Beaumont, and Jean Elrod and her husband, Danny of Hamshire; and sister-in-law, Michea Ford of Hamshire. He is preceded in death by his brother, John Thomas Ford, Sr. His Memorial Mass will be celebrated 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. The Family would like for everyone to join them for a reception following the Mass at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, Family Life Center. His committal was held at Broussard's Crematorium. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the nurses at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth 4 Southeast - Oncology Unit for the excellent care and compassion they shared with Scott.
