On Tuesday, July 24, 2012, we lost a wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Tam, as we called her, was loved by all. She was sweet, intelligent, hilarious, and full of life. Although she no longer walks beside us, she is forever embedded in our hearts. Tammy Smith Malatesta, 41, of Beaumont, was born on February 18, 1971. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Traylor and father, Paul Williams. Survivors include her husband, the love of her life and eternal soul mate, Bobby Malatesta; sons, Cole Hamilton, Cade Hamilton, and Enzo Malatesta; sister, Rhonda Parchmont and her husband, Graydon; brother, Michael Williams and his wife, Rachel; nieces, Peyton and Presley Parchmont; uncle, Wes Traylor and Aunt Kathy; and cousins Paul, Tracy, and Mark, all of Beaumont. Tam was a 1989 graduate of West Brook High School. She went on to attend Texas A&M University and graduated with her Bachelor's of Science Nursing degree in 1995 from Lamar University. She worked in a pediatric trauma center, specialized in Neonatal Intensive care, and most recently, was a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. Of these achievements, she felt her greatest accomplishment in life was the one most dear to her heart, the love of her sons, Cole, Cade, and Enzo. A gathering of Tam's family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012, with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Complete and updated information may be found at: broussards1889.com.
