Teddy Mack Minyard, 71, of Colmesneil, passed away, Monday, June 16, 2014 at Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin, Texas. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Davis Cemetery near Colmesneil. Visitation will be Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 5 - 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Teddy was born April 17, 1943 to Jack & Aline Davis Minyard in Colmesneil, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Tyler County and was pastor of Harmony Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Sam Houston State University where he was All American All Conference in 1961-1964 and Bearkat Hall of Honor in 1982. He had been a pastor for 20 years and loved his family & his fellowman. He was an avid fisherman, tractor trader and enjoyed gardening. He was a friend to many and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Aline Minyard; brother, J.E. Minyard and Billy Jack Minyard. Teddy is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda Minyard of Colmesneil; son, Rusty Minyard & wife, Pam of Evadale; daughters, Debbie Morgan & husband, Wayne of Henderson, Nevada, and Misti Mashaw & husband, Jeffrey of Colmesneil; sister, Sherry Bailey & husband, Barry of Kilgore; grandchildren, Haley McCarty & husband, Jacob, Shelby Mashaw, Katelyn Minyard, Austin Morgan, and Jackie Minyard; and great grandchild, Tucker McCarty.
