Terry Hawkins Creekmore, 72, of Beaumont, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Christus Hospital - St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born in Hendersonville, Tennessee on November 18, 1939, to Richard and Irene Pitt Creekmore. Terry was a former employee of the United States Postal Service, Groendyke Transport, Mission Petroleum and retired from Unocal in 1996. He loved working for Southern Avionics taking care of the lawn, the sheep and peacocks. Terry was a lifetime member of GWRRA, Chapter J., and a faithful member of Calvary Tabernacle Church. Survivors include his wife of fifty-three years, Frieda Elaine Creekmore; sons, Terry Lee Creekmore and his wife, Deborah of Warren; and Chad Creekmore of Katy; daughters, Tammy Staggs and her husband Tommy of Leesville, Louisiana; Susie Brown and her husband, Scott of Vidor; Dee Dee Creekmore Milstead of Beaumont; and Margaret Creekmore McReynolds of Port Neches; brothers, Roland Creekmore; Russell Creekmore; and Richey Creekmore; sister, June Canter of Tennessee; sister-in-law, Diane and her husband, Rev. Fernando Lamas of Houston; twenty grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and numerous loving family members. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Robert Creekmore and Joseph Creekmore. A gathering of Mr. Creekmore's family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Broussard's, with a graveside service to follow at 3:00 p.m., at White House Cemetery, Lufkin.
