Therese Mae McClintock, 83, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 in Port Arthur, Texas. She was born on May 28, 1929 to Robert J. and Lelia Mae Provost in New Iberia, Louisiana. After moving to Port Arthur as a child, from Loreauville, Louisiana, she graduated from St. Mary's High School in Port Arthur and at the age of seventeen, married the one and only love of her life, Louis McClintock. She was completely and totally devoted to him and their five children. She was very much a family person, a woman of God and the biggest fan and supporter of her children. Therese was proud to have been a valued employee at Dryden's of Groves. She was a member of the 19th Street Gang and an avid fan of the Houston Astros. Therese is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Louis McClintock; her parents; a daughter, Christy McClintock Gamage; two brothers, Robert Sugar Provost, Jr. and Benny Provost. She is survived by her four sons, Michael McClintock and wife Mary of Baton Rouge, LA, Danny McClintock and wife Georgia of Nederland, Kelly McClintock of New Iberia, LA, Father Jim McClintock of Fannett; three sisters, Rita Tiblier of Houston, Barbara Bryan Stansbury of Port Neches, Faye Rawson of Groves; six grandchildren, Shaun McClintock, Amber Rigney and husband Neal, Danny McClintock, Jr., Eric McClintock, Ryan McClintock and wife Lauren, Trey Gamage; and four great-grandchildren, Chase McClintock, Kayla McClintock, Lance Rigney and Victoria Rigney. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. and a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Port Arthur with Father Jim McClintock as Celebrant. Committal service will follow at Love Mausoleum in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Therese, to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Port Arthur or St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fannett are appreciated.
