Thomas Howard Crockett, born in Beaumont, Texas, on November 18, 1935, died June 7, 2012. Howard graduated from South Park HS in Beaumont, then joined the U.S. Air Force and served as an Officer in the Strategic Air Command. He received his BA and MSW at the University of Washington in Seattle. He retired from the Federal Judicial Center in Washington, D.C. During his retirement, he was active in the Texas Archeological Society. Howard is survived by his wife of 38 years, Gerri Treutelaar Crockett; mother, Masel Strickland Quinn; sons, David Crockett (Lela), Robert Crockett (Lauri), James Smoll (Patty), and Jeffrey Smoll (Marta); grandchildren, Blake, David, Mack, Kase, Gage, Nash, and Julie. Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Hope Hospice in New Braunfels.
