Thomas Warren Sea Dog Johnston, age 79 of Port Arthur passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at his daughters residence in Vidor, Texas. Sea Dog was a life long resident of Port Arthur. He was born on April 16, 1934 to Leroy and Mary Sydnes Johnston in Port Arthur. He was of the Lutheran faith and was a Instrument Tech with Equistar Chemical with over 30 years of service. Sea Dog proudly served our country during the Korean Conflict attaining the rank of Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of the V.F. W. and American Legion and was also a past president of S.A.L.T. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. in the Thompson Memorial Chapel of Clayton Thompson in Groves, TX. Cremation is entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his son, James and wife Pam Johnston of Baytown, daughters, Tami Jo and husband David Lawler of Vidor, Debra Warner of Port Neches, Karen Sumpter of Hawaiian Gardens CA., sister, Billie LaBorde of Arkansas, granddaughters, Cassie Jo Hudson of Chattanooga, TN., Amanda Mooring and Alicia Lupian both of Baytown.grandsons, Christopher Lawler of Groves, Brian and Jason Sumpter of CA. and 6 great grandchildren @
