Thomas Yewell Watkins, 75, of Hull, Texas, died Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Fairy's Landing Personal Care Center of Hull. Service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at Faith & Family Chapel, with Reverend Bonnie Osteen officiating, interment will follow at the Guedry Cemetery in Batson. The family will be receiving friends, also on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Thomas was born February 28, 1937, in Russellville, Kentucky, to parents Homer Watkins and Mabel Gertrude Murphy, and had lived in Hull since 1987 and was a retired Truck Driver and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Bill and Curt Watkins; and brother, Curtis Watkins. Survivors are wife, Mary Watkins of Hull; stepfather, Elmer Westray of Louisville, Kentucky; son, David Jenkins of Pasadena; daughters, Peggy Cole of Needsville, Texas, Robin Bozotta of North Carolina, Anita Moore and husband, Mike of Santa, Fe Texas; sister, Phyllis Westray of West Port, Kentucky; fifteen grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Colt Moore, Clint Moore, George Eichelberger, Gerald Esthay, Jeff Tullar, and Ronny Myers.
