Tommy Joe “Big Mac” McCullor, age 70, of Lumberton, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014. He was born to James Clifford “J C” McCullor and Margaret Ruby Sistrunk on September 21, 1943 in Converse, Louisiana.

Tommy was a recipient of numerous awards during his service in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. He was the crew chief of the C.103 airplane that escorted Bob Hope on one of his USO tours. Tommy traveled throughout Europe and Southeast Asia. He was a member of the VFW for 40 plus years.
Left to honor his memory are his wife, Patricia McCullor of Lumberton, TX; his daughter, Tanya McCullor of Vidor, TX; his stepsons, Reggie Peet of Vidor, TX, Randy Peet of Vidor, TX, and Anthony Elizondo of China, TX; his stepdaughter, Misty Strickland of Lumberton, TX; his sister Lily Walters of Warren, TX; and his grandchildren, Britney, Ashley, Brandon, and Nathan.
Preceding Tommy in death were his parents.
Visitation with family and friends will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Lumberton Family Funeral Home. Graveside services honoring the life of Tommy will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Antioch Cemetery in Buna with Kenneth Ray Sistrunk officiating.
