1972 - 2016 James Thomas Tommy Word IV, 43 of Kirbyville, Texas stepped into the arms of Jesus on November 5, 2016 at his home surrounded by the ones he loved. Services for Tommy will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Call Junction Baptist Church in Kirbyville with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery under the direction of Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville. Tommy was a life long resident of Kirbyille, Texas. He was born December 30, 1972 to Melanie Johnson, & Jimmy Word. Tommy had a big heart full of love for his family, friends and the Lord. Still here to carry on his memory are his loved ones; wife Tracy Weitzel Word, parents Melanie & Bill Johnson of Kirbyville, Jimmy & Debra Word of Kirbyville, sister Summer Word of Kirbyville, son Morgan & wife Alisha Weitzel of Refugio, one grandson Ryden Weitzel. And numerous family and friends. Waiting for him at the gates of heaven were his brother John Wesley Johnson, grandparents James Thomas Word Jr, Audie Mae Word of Buna; William F Cole of Call; W.E. & Madgie Neff of Kirbyville; Uncles, Joe Cole of Kirbyville; Tommy Cole of Nederland; Charles Martin of Kirbyville. Tommy was a heavy crane operator most of his life; he enjoyed race cars, boats, motorcycles, anything and everything that involved going fast. Tommy had many special talents, one we can all agree on was his ability to tell stories and make others laugh. He will be greatly missed by so many but his memory will live on forever.
