1931 - 2016 Wesley Jerome Evans, Sr., 84, of Kirbyville died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Call Junction Baptist Church with burial at Bean Cemetery in Kirbyville under the direction of Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 9:00 pm Tuesday at the church. A native of Port Neches, TX, he had lived in Kirbyville since 1961 and was a retired electrician for Occidental Petroleum and a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Evans of Kirbyville; children, Wesley Evans, Jr. of Kirbyville; Rhonda Brabham and husband David of Buna; Henry Clark Evans and wife Renee of Silsbee; Terrie Ross and husband John of Kirbyville and Sheila Brown and husband Larry of Merryville, LA; a brother, James Frank Evans of Colorado Springs, CO; a sister, Anna Bell Mize of Jasper; 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
