Rev. William B. Brown Bill was born March 5, 1926 in Beaumont, Texas to George E. Brown, Sr. and Edith Hill Brown. He married Dorothy Lee Southerland, also of Beaumont, June 22, 1946. They have 4 grown children, Sherilyn Lee Hall, William Baxter Brown, Jr., Robert Kent Brown and Barbara Eileen Blankenship, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. They resided in Allen, Texas for the last 20 years, where Bill went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday afternoon, December 13th, surrounded by his loving family. He was called to the ministry through a vision at age 13 and began preaching at age 24. His first pastorate was in DeQuincy, Louisiana for 4 ½ years. Bill later moved to Shreveport, LA and pastored Shreveport Tabernacle for 7 years. He founded Faith Fellowship Church in Shreveport/Bossier City, Louisiana in 1967 where he served as Pastor for 32 years. Bill was founder of World Ministry Fellowship in 1963 and served as President several times. WMF has grown to over 2,000 members worldwide. Faith Bible College of Shreveport - Bossier City, Louisiana was also started by Bill in 1976 where he served as President. In the course of his ministry several churches were began under his leadership. Bill was also very successful in the area of Pastoral Counseling. He was currently the founder and President of Bill Brown Ministries, an evangelistic ministry with a vision to help pastors and congregations become more unified. Bill has an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from North American Bible College and an Honorary Doctor of Christian Ministry degree from The Seminary for Theological Missions in Guatemala. Viewing will be Tuesday, Dec. 17th at Victory Church, 6301 E. Parker Rd, Parker, TX from 6pm-8pm with a Celebration Service to be held at Victory Church Wed. at 10am. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, TX
