William Bill Roach, Sr., 62, of Village Mills, died Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Christus Hospital, St. Elizabeth. He was born on May 24, 1950, in Woodville, to Rachel Crosby Roach and Esker Lafayette Roach, and had been a resident of Village Mills for twenty-five years. Bill was a United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam and was a equipment operator with Hardin County Pct. 4. Bill was a longtime member of First Baptist Church-Village Mills. Survivors include his wife, Mickie Roach; children, William Roach, Jr. of Warren, Kenny Roach of Lumberton, Shawn Wilcoxon of San Diego, California, and Michael Dwayne Roach of Village Mills; eleven grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; and sister, Judy Swearingen of Village Mills. A gathering of Mr. Roach's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Broussard's, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February, 27, 2013, at Broussard's, with interment to follow at Village Mills Cemetery, Village Mills.
