Dr. Williams Carroll Perkins, 95, passed away Dec. 25, 2012, at Medical Center Hospital, Dallas, TX. He was born Nov. 8, 1917, in Beaumont, TX., to Williams H. Perkins and Artie Carroll Perkins. He graduated from Beaumont High School, in Beaumont. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Kathryn Eble Perkins, and also his brother's, Irwin Perkins, Haywood Perkins and Eric Perkins, and sister, Wintress Wetzel. Dr. Perkins received his degree in dentistry from Baylor College of Medicine, and interned at Scott and White, Temple, TX. During World War II, he served on the USS Chanticleer as a Lieutenant. He remained in the reserves and retired a full Commander. He is survived by 10 nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and his longtime caregivers. He will be remembered for his desire to better the education of young people. Honorable Pallbearers are his nephews. Visitation will be held 11-1:30 PM Friday Dec. 28, 2012, Laurel Land Funeral Home, with funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM, Laurel Land Memorial Chapel.
