1926 - 2014 Yorick Guillory, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother and uncle passed away at his home in China, Texas on September 14, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife, Edna of 67 years. Preceding him in death is his oldest son Michael; sons: Patrick, Paul, Donald, Charles, and Ricky. Daughters: Gerri Hall, Linda Fontenot, Sylvia Coleman, Theresa Sauls and Mary Wilson. He had 18 siblings and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Yorick worked at Shepherd's Laundry for 35 years. They opened the renowned Guillory's Drive-In in 1959 on Fourth Street. Mr. Guillory worked both at the Laundry and maintained managing the grocery store at the same time. Mr. Guillory loved shooting pool and hosted many tournaments, playing checkers, gardening, and fundraising for multiple efforts. What he enjoyed doing most was attending zydecos with his wife Edna and family and friends. He was known as the Zydeco King. Yorick served with the Knights of Columbus, Council 951, and with the Knights of Peter Claver. His family and friends know that the Good Lord is saying, Well done thy good and faithful servant. Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Our Mother of Mercy Church at 3390 Sarah Street, Beaumont, TX 77005. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Rosary will begin at 10:15 a.m. and the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery.
