1927 - 2014 Betty Woodall Moore passed away at her home Tuesday, August 19, 2014. She was born December 22, 1927 in Port Arthur, Texas and resided in the Port Arthur/Groves area for 73 years before moving to Taylor Landing. Betty graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and attended Lamar State College in Beaumont. She married Charles J. Moore in 1947 and they had two daughters Rebecca and Debbie. She worked at Dismukes for many years but her main job was being a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of Procter Baptist Church for over 75 years where she taught Sunday school, worked in the nursery and taught vacation bible school. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles J. Moore, her eldest daughter Rebecca (Becky) Lucas, her parents M.L. and Eula Mae Woodall, loving stepmother Emma Woodall and sister Hilda Faye Queen. She is survived by her daughter Debbie Russell and husband James of Taylor Landing, her brother Harry Woodall and wife Mary of Homer, LA, her brother-in-law J. C. Queen of Groves, her son-in-law Thomas Lucas of Hemphill. Five grandchildren: grandson Eric Wilson and wife Amy of Port Neches, granddaughters Wendy Castille and husband Jerret of Hampshire, Amber Jetton and husband Walter of Taylor Landing, Jamie Hinson and husband Tim of Friendswood, Angela Kvarme and husband Erik of Beaumont. Nine great-grandchildren: Bailey Wilson, Payton Wilson, Morgan Castille, Ally Castille, Addyson Jetton, Kierson Jetton, Ethan Hinson, Chelsea Hinson and Kelly Kvarme and wife Laura. Two great-great-grandchildren: Kjell and Elam Kvarme. And numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Procter Baptist Church in Port Arthur. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Procter Baptist Church with Reverend Milton Woodall officiating and Dr. Rick Erwin assisting. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A special thanks goes to her long time caregiver Myra Williams
