Adam Kattawar, 91, of Sour Lake, died on Thursday, May 31, 2012. He was born on February 18, 1921, to Rose Murr Kattawar and Abe John Kattawar, in Beaumont. Adam was a United States Navy veteran having served in World War II and retired as owner and operator of Dallas X-Ray Company. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Kattawar; son, Kenneth Kattawar of Beaumont; daughter, Judy Sipperly and her husband, David of Houston; grandchildren, Jason Sipperly, William Sipperly, Syrus Sipperly, Chad Kattawar, and Aaron Kattawar; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Eileen Debes of Houston. He is preceded in death by his parents. A gathering of Mr. Kattawar's family and friends will begin at 12:00 Noon, with his funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with entombment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
