Mary Ann Spencer Kendrick passed away November 10, 2012. A memorial service will be held on November 17, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. Mary Ann, born March 1, 1925 in Waco, graduated from Waco High School and completed a bachelor's degree at Baylor University as a member of their Centennial Class. In 1946, she married her high school sweetheart, Charles Evans Kendrick, and they were married 63 years. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; daughters, Kate Kendrick and Susan Kendrick; and parents, Mr. & Mrs. R.T. Spencer. Mary Ann is survived by son, Thomas Evans Kendrick and wife, Cheryl; son, Richard Spencer Kendrick and wife, Susan; brother, Richard T. Spencer; cousins, Lee and Wilton Lanning, Elizabeth Kelly, Carol and David Hildebrand, Kathryn McCaw; and 5 grandchildren. Mary Ann and Charles were charter members of Willow Meadows Baptist Church in Houston. She was an active member of the Women's Missionary Union as well as the volunteer Nursery Coordinator at Calder Baptist Church in Beaumont. Mary Ann was an active member of the Mixon class at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in Waco. She also served as a docent at the McFaddin-Ward House in Beaumont, as well as the East Terrace House in Waco. Memorials may be made to Columbus Avenue Baptist Church (of Waco), or Calder Baptist Church (of Beaumont).
