Jackie Jack Fritz Jeans, 79, of Spurger died Monday, November 12, 2012 at the Tyler County Hospital. Born on May 2, 1933 in Bronson, Texas to Amidee and Freda Neely Jeans, he worked for E.I. DuPont Beaumont Works for 40 years and retired in 1994. He was in the United States Air Force and a member of the Snow River Masonic Lodge No. 385 in Spurger. He and his wife, Mary Lou, square danced with the Hitch Hicker Square Dance Club of Mid County. Jack was a member of the Methodist Church. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Charlotte Jeans; brothers, Donald, Sonny and Jesse J.E. Jeans; sisters, Vera Sonnier and Rosemary Jeans. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Jeans; daughters, Mary Eva Jeans Tompkins of Spurger and Madeline Rowe and husband, Danny of Dripping Springs; son, Daniel Jeans and wife, Paula of Nederland; sister, Doris McClung of Lovelady; grandchildren, Lance Jeans and wife, Crystal, April Dinzeo and husband, Micheal, Angel Johnson and husband, Ryan, Susi Kay Mari Jeans, John Jeans, Corey Tompkins and wife, Angie; great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Clayton and Anthony Tompkins, Kelby and Hannah Rowe, Slade and Justin Jeans, Evelyn and Abel Amidee Dinzeo; and numerous other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 am at the Riley Chapel in Woodville with a Masonic and Military Honors graveside service at Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
