Johnny Keith Woods, 34, of Lumberton, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012. He was born July 10, 1978 in Anchorage Alaska, to Marlene and Jimmy Woods. Johnny's younger years were spent in Anchorage, Alaska and Lafayette, Louisiana. Johnny attended Lumberton High School where he graduated in 1996. He attended college at Texas A&M University in Galveston and Lamar University in Beaumont. Johnny worked as a Process Operator at Valero in Port Arthur, Texas. He was a member of the Emergency response team at Valero and of the Lumberton volunteer fire department. Johnny had a passion for photography and loved to capture special memories for others. He loved the outdoors, camping, biking and hiking. Most of all, Johnny loved his family and treasured every moment that he spent with them. Although we are heartbroken, we know the heavens are rejoicing to receive such a wonderful spirit. Johnny will be dearly missed. Survivors include his wife, Tanya Woods; two children, Kalli and Tyler; three step children, Coby, Jordan and Tyler; brothers, Michael Woods of Phoenix, Arizona and Greg Woods of Beaumont; parents, Jimmy and Marlene Woods of Sam Rayburn. A gathering of Mr. Woods' family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2012 at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church, 290 South Street, Vidor with interment to follow at Hooks Cemetery, Kountze.
