Emmette Edward Jorden, Sr. Oct. 15, 1934 Dec. 27, 2012 Emmette Edward Jorden, Sr. 78, of Sagle, Idaho died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was born on Oct. 15, 1934 to Loma Madero Jorden and Alva Emmett Mike Jorden in McLennan, Texas. He attended French High School in Beaumont, Texas and Washington State University. He was by trade a pipefitter/welder, quality control engineer and in his younger years had been a rodeo clown and bull rider. He was a Boy Scout Leader for a number of years. Emmette loved working with leather, silversmithing and was a master gardener. He was an ordained minister and counselor with Four Winds Ministry and continued to volunteer his service for various causes throughout his life. He is survived by his wife Patricia Gabe Gabel Jorden of Sagle, ID, daughters Dorothy Therese Jorden Crocker of Lumberton, TX, Carol Marie Jorden Cleveland of Vidor, TX, Teanna Gabel Kurtz of Sagle, ID, sons Emmette Edward Jorden, Jr., Guy Busby Jorden both of Sagle, ID & Dominque Sorenson of Kennewick, WA, brothers Michael Jorden, of Houston, TX, John David Jorden of Vidor, TX, Theodore Ted Jorden of Ville Platte, LA, sister Theresa Tess Jorden Pate of Beaumont, TX plus others that he loved as his own. He had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Emmette is preceded in death by one wife Ellen Jorden, his father Alva Emmett Mike Jorden; mother Loma Madero Busby Jorden, brother Alva Al Jorden, and sister Lisa Jorden Mayea. The family will be hosting an informal gathering of memories to celebrate the life of Emmette Jorden at New Hope Cemetery in Riesel, TX on Sat., Feb. 2, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers you may donate to your favorite American Indian charity, the Humane Society, or plant a tree in memory of his love for nature.
