Lowell A. Putzier, 81, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on April 29, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Beatrice F. Heisey Putzier and Edward C. Putzier, and had been a longtime resident of the Beaumont area. He was a United States Army veteran having served during the Korean War. Lowell retired from DuPont as an environmental engineer and throughout his retirement volunteered in the Beaumont area. Survivors include his daughter, LeAnn E. Trout and her husband, Robert, of Sugar Land; son, L. Bryan Putzier of Austin; grandchildren, Jeffrey Kruse and Kimberly Thornton, Kelsey Kruse, and Ryan Trout; great- grandchildren, Zaylie Kruse and Makayla Kruse; sister, Linda Heisey of Galloway, Ohio; and brother- in-law, Richard Zecher and his wife, Jane, of Hendersonville, North Carolina. A memorial service for Mr. Putzier will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 11, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3430 Harrison Avenue, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
