Albert Baxter Vincent A memorial service for Albert Baxter Vincent, 66, of Beaumont will be held Sunday March 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Claybar Kelley-Watkins Chapel. Al was born May 31, 1945 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Albert Linder and Alice Rose (Baxter) Vincent and passed away on February 25, 2013 at home following a battle with cancer. He was a forty year member of pipefitter's local 195 and a veteran of the armed forces. Al previously appeared in this paper when he launched a homemade rocket three miles into the atmosphere at age sixteen. It wasn't his first explosive experiment and it wouldn't be his last. He was survived by his wife Shawn Prunty Vincent; daughters Kate Roden and Anne Vincent of Austin, sister Frances; 3 grandchildren and a large and devoted extended family. He woke up every morning excited to see the world and he will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
