Opal Hale, 89, of Winnie, was united with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 1, 2013, at Winnie Community Hospital. She was born in Dayton, Texas, on May 1, 1924, and lived in Winnie for the past sixty years. Opal was employed with the Winnie Medical Center for thirty years, and she was an active member of First Baptist Church in Winnie since 1954. Survivors include her granddaughter, Kristin Cothren and her husband, Dana; grandson, Kevin Cormier and his wife, Jamie; great-grandchildren, Mandy and Kristi Cormier and Kase and Lexi Cothren. A gathering of Ms. Hale's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Broussard's, 134 West Buccaneer, Winnie. Her funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at First Baptist Church, 120 East Pear, Winnie.
