Clifford Castle, 80, of Nederland, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, September 5, 2013, with his wife of sixty years, Wanda, by his side. He was born on June 28, 1933, in Dante, Virginia, to Artha Kate Hileman Castle and Carnes Neil Castle. Clifford was a United States Air Force veteran having served in the Korean War. He retired from Kansas City Southern Railroad, where he worked as a conductor. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Castle; brothers, David Castle and his wife, Charlotte, of Lumberton and Kenneth H. Castle and his wife, Patsy, of Bluntville, Tennessee; sister, Anna Marie McIntosh, and her husband, Charles, of Warren; twenty-five nieces and nephews; fifty-seven great-nieces and nephews; and numerous great-great-nieces and nephews. A gathering of Mr. Castle's family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 8, 2013, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 9, 2013, at Victory Temple, 2630 South 11th Street, Beaumont. His graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at Centuries Memorial Cemetery, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana.
