ENON — James L. Davis, 53, of Enon, OH, formerly of Huber Heights, OH, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2016, at Heartland of Springfield Nursing Home. Jim was born and raised in Huber Heights and preceded in death by his parents, Tom & Avis Davis, and his brothers, Jeff & Pat Davis. He is survived by his loving and devoted son and daughter, Jimmy & Jaclyn Davis; sister, Sandy Casey (Pat); former sister-in-law, Suzie Davis-Ramsey (Chuck); nephews, Doug (Lindsey) & Mike Davis, and Dylan Carroll, all of the local area. Jim is also survived by nieces, Abby & Lily, and nephew, Patrick Davis. Jim moved to Enon in 1999, where he was assistant coach for the local little league baseball organization, and where some of his fondest memories and deepest friendships were formed, mainly that with his best friend, Mike Belcher. Jim was a professional painter by trade – a paint and stain extraordinaire. He did everything he put his hands to with excellence and personal care. With his trademark wink and sharp wit, "Jimbob" was the funniest man on the planet, loved loud rock and roll, the NHRA, Cincinnati Reds, and Cincinnati Bengals – no matter how frustrating the season – and hosted regular family gatherings at his home to watch the races and games in multiscreen, high-def and high-decibel excitement. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at A House of Prayer, 282 Stelton Rd., Xenia, on Wednesday, June 22, at 6:30 pm. Pastor Mark Brooks will officiate. The family is being served by Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, Springfield.
