Virginia Sirbaugh Arthur, 74, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late James Calvin Arthur. Born on June 4, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Sirbaugh and Laura Mae Taylor Sirbaugh. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tracy Arthur. Virginia was an avid camper, she loved to fish. She also liked to garden and crochet. She enjoyed getting together with the whole family and cooking for them. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Bonnie T. Overstreet and husband, Troy, Pamela T. Noel and husband, Terry; step-children, David C. Arthur and wife, Lisa, Peggy M. Christmas and husband, Roosevelt, Phillip W. Arthur and wife, Pam, Cathy J. Cobb and husband, Barry; granddaughter, Morgan E. Nichols; step-grandchildren, David Arthur Jr., and wife, Lisa, Mary Tweedy, Teresa Hurt, Christine Arthur, Isaiah Christmas; and two step-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 18, 2013 in Greenwood Cemetery at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mike Jones and Pastor Marc Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends today at Tharp Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
