James Frederick “Jim� Arnold, 44, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013. Born April 5, 1968, in Duxbury, Massachusetts, he was the son of Bonnie and the late John Arnold. Jim enjoyed spending time outdoors walking his dogs, hiking, biking, cookouts at the park, and camping. His greatest moments were spending time with his mother, wife, and granddaughter. Besides his mother, James is survived by his loving wife, Terry Arnold; step children, Erin, Patrick, and Paige Welch; his precious five year old granddaughter, Adyson; sister, Debra Carrico; brother, John; mother-in-law, Joann; brothers-in-law, Joel Brooks and his wife, Christina, and Jonathan Brooks; sister-in-law Julie Rhodes and her husband, John; nieces, Amy, Anna, and Becky; and many more family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Arnold and father-in-law, John Brooks. A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. with a visitation following on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, 4922 Valley View Boulevard Roanoke, 24012.
