Marvin W. Bryant

Marvin Weldon Bryant, 57, of Bedford, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born in Bedford on Aug. 26, 1955 a son of the late Edward Winfree Bryant, Jr. and Nancy Robinson Elkins. Marvin was owner of Bryant Plant Farm for many years and was employed by REDCO as a machinist. He loved his family, hunting, fishing, shooting pool and raising his plants. Marvin is survived by his wife of 33 years, Deborah Carol Bryant, two sons, Christopher Dale Bryant and Gregory Martin Bryant and fiancée, Melanie Simmons; his granddaughter, Keira Samone Gray; a brother, Edward Lewis Bryant; his mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law, Phyllis Harris Waller and Bailey Waller; Nellie Martin and the late Harold Dean Martin; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Denise and Roger Creasy, nieces, nephews and many more family and friends. A funeral service was held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at Burch-Messier Walnut Street Chapel, 1235 Walnut St. with Daniel Toms speaking and Rev. William Clark officiating.
