Thomas Tilton Meador, 94 of Moneta, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at Spring Tree Health Care Center. He was born on Monday, April 5, 1920 in Bedford County, a son of the late Thomas Fred Meador and Mamie Spencer Meador. He was also preceded in death by wife, Mary Frances Wuergler Meador, a brother, Roy Z. Meador, a grand son-in-law, Henry Webster and great grandsons, Austin Webster and Caleb Chisom. He was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation as Superintendent and was also a farmer. He was a member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army
veteran. Surviving are his son, Arthur T. Meador and wife, Edith of Moneta; his daughter, Marie M. DeLong and husband, John of Moneta; his sister-in-law, Evelyn Meador of Boones Mill; grandchildren, Tammy Webster, Cindy Steeves and husband, Dan, Penny Clark and husband, Jim, Vicky Chisom and husband, A. J., Amy Duty and husband, Bryon, Connie Lemon and husband, Brian, as well as fourteen great grandchildren.
