Albert Charles â€œJackâ€ Skelley, 92, of Roanoke, died Sunday, April 20, 2014. He was born Jan. 13, 1922, in Braddock Pennsylvania, and was predeceased by five sisters, one brother and one son, Richard Saunders Skelley. Mr. Skelley served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II in both the European and Pacific Theaters. He returned from the Pacific to enter the V-12 Officer Training Program at the University of North Carolina. For many years, Mr. Skelley was a pharmaceutical representative for Winthrop Laboratories. Mr. Skelley was a long time member of Hidden Valley Country Club. Jack is survived by his wife of 69 years of marriage; Anne Johnson Skelley, one son; Bruce Skelley of the Dominican Republic, and a daughter, Carol Skelley Osborn, of Gulf Breeze, Florida. He has grandchildren; Mark and Blake Skelley, and Devon Shuman and Anne Nyffeler, and a great-grandson; Johnny Nyffeler.
