Albert Wilson Hartberger, 83, of Roanoke and formerly of Bedford and Amherst Counties, passed away on Monday, Sept. 28, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Fannie Hartberger; and one brother, Ray Hartberger. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Morgan Hartberger; two sons, Buddy (Vickie) Hartberger, Barry (Robin) Hartberger; two daughters, Sharon (Greg) Marchant, Stacey (Joel) Barfield; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Mildred) Hartberger; sister, Doris (Ralph) Lovern; sister-in-law, Alice Hartberger; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a dedicated Husband, Father and PaPa and used his remarkable engineering, plumbing and electrical skills to help others throughout his life. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 at Oakeyâ€™s East Chapel with Pastor Wynemah Hinlickyofficiating. Interment will follow in the Montvale Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PMat the funeral home.
